Introduction to Cultural Intelligence and Cultural Values Webinar

  • Have you ever observed the particulars of how different people act in different ways, in different circumstances?
  • Do you wonder why you and your boss never see eye-to-eye on certain things?
  • Have you experienced being more comfortable expressing your opinion with a smaller group rather than a large one, and wondered why?
  • Are you curious to find out why your colleagues act the way they do?
  • Do you want to be able to anticipate possible similarities and differences with others?

If you answered with “yes” to one or more of the questions above, then this webinar is made for you.

Discover your Cultural Values and and how they show up at home and at work.

During the webinar, we will:

  1. Hear real stories from an expert panel of educators, consultants, and professionals.
  2. Explore how Cultural Values help us understand why our colleagues and friends do what they do.
  3. Recognize the value in giving others what they need.
  4. Learn the “secret ingredient” behind navigating differences easily.

There will also be a chance for you as an attendee to ask your own questions.

HOW ARE CULTURAL VALUES DIFFERENT FROM CULTURAL INTELLIGENCE?

Cultural Values are personal preferences that remain relatively stable over time. Understanding your own preferences and learning about the typical preferences of others can help you anticipate possible similarities and differences in ways people approach life and work. Cultural Values can differ among individuals with similar cultural backgrounds and between two individuals from different cultural backgrounds.

In comparison, Cultural Intelligence is a skill set that predicts effectiveness in diverse situations by measuring capabilities in four distinct areas: CQ Drive, CQ Knowledge, CQ Strategy, and CQ Action.
